Fall 2023 Recreational Registration Is Now Open!

Registration for the Fall 2023 Recreational program is now open. You can register here.

Rec Registration Pricing:

Early Bird Registration (April 24 through May 31): $200

June 1 or Later Registration: $250

This year we will start creating teams as registrations come in, so if there are friends you'd like to be teamed up with, make sure to register early!

As always, this year's registration asks that you consider volunteering as a coach for recreational soccer.  We depend on volunteer coaches to make this program affordable and possible.  We cannot field more teams than we have coaches for.  New this year: You receive $100 off your child's enrollment if you coach! Please email me at rec-coordinator@santacruzsoccer.com to get your $100-off coupon code.  You also get to choose the school, day and time of practices.  All coaches, experienced or new, receive support from the club’s Recreational Coordinator and Board.

As a community organization and non-profit, our goal is to keep registration costs low so that our programming is accessible to all our community members and their children.  Registration fees alone do not cover all the club's costs.  Please consider donating one of two ways when registering:

Sponsor a Rec team.  This is a great way for small businesses to show their support and allows children who otherwise would not be able to participate to do so. Please complete the Sponsorship Form

And/or you can choose to donate a set amount to the club to support the administration or a player of our recreational programs.  Please consider donating if you have the means – even a little support can go a long way.

If you need financial aid, please complete the Financial Aid Request Form.

The Fall 2023 Recreation Season will begin middle/end of August with the first games Sept 9th weekend.  The season runs approximately 10 weeks.

Players are grouped into leagues based on year of birth. "U" stands for Under; the child must be Under the age listed for the entirety of 2023.

  • U6: 2018-2019 (age 4-5), COED, 4v4 Games

  • U8: 2016-2017 (age 6-7), Boys/Girls, 6v6 Games

  • U10: 2014-2015 (age 8-9), Boys/Girls, 8v8 Games

  • U12: 2012-2013 (age 10-11), Boys/Girls, 9v9 Games

  • U15: 2009-2011 (age 12-14), Boys/Girls, 11v11 Games

  • U19: 2005-2007 (age 15-18), COED, 11v11 Games (Assuming sufficient player registration)

Requests to “play down” in age group will NOT be fulfilled (ex. U10, 2014 born player who wishes to play with U8). Requests to “play up” may be fulfilled, but only on a case by case basis and if registration numbers allow.

Equipment: Players are provided with a full uniform for the season, including jersey, shorts, and long socks.  Families are responsible for purchasing their own soccer cleats and shin guards, which are required for play.

Teams will practice 1-2x per week (U6-U8 typically 1x, U10 and older can be 1 or 2x) and play one (1) game per weekend. Practices are held at local elementary schools; games are held at Harvey West or local Middle Schools (B40).

Thank you all and I hope to see you on the field!
